Tell Washington You Stand with UN Peacekeepers

Congress and the Obama Administration agreed to slash funding for UN peacekeeping last week, which included providing no funds for the newest mission in Mali and cutting funds for the mission in South Sudan. Now we need your help to let them know that this is unacceptable.

If you care about supporting UN peacekeeper's critical, life-saving work worldwide, then make sure Washington knows by sending the message now.

Right now, peacekeepers in Mali and in South Sudan are risking their lives to restore peace and democracy, and we’re repaying them by denying the resources they need to do the jobs we asked for. Stand Up For Those Who Stand the Line

Just as peacekeeping is proving its worth, Congress and the Administration have decided to cut U.S. support for UN peacekeeping by 12 percent. Moments like this define the role of UNA-USA as a grassroots organization.  It is time for Americans who believe in the fundamental peacemaking role of the UN to stand up for those who stand on the line in the most dangerous regions of the world.
