UNA-USA Chapters Thank UN Peacekeepers

UNA-USA and its Chapters' work in galvanizing the community to thank UN peacekeepers was recognized by Assistant Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Operations Edmond Mulet at a special reception hosted by The Better World Campaign on Tuesday.

Throughout the year, our Chapters leveraged events to help support the 'Thank a Peacekeeper' campaign, calling on members in the community to send notes of thanks to UN Peacekeepers. Chapters of all sizes participated in the campaign, and we are pleased to congratulate the Iowa Division, the Orange County Chapter, and the Albuquerque Chapter for returning the most notes.

Answering the Call on the Disability Treaty

Over the long arc of its history, our association has always been about action. Whether it was providing volunteers to staff the public affairs arm of the new UN headquarters or providing UNDP with grassroots input on the Post-2015 agenda, when called to action by UN leaders, our members rise to the challenge. In asking for our support for the UN Disability Treaty, Ambassador Samantha Power has issued just such a call to action to UNA-USA.
