Meet with Your Member of Congress
Last week, President Obama released his FY'15 budget proposal to Congress, with more than $2.5 billion requested to help ensure the U.S. fulfills its UN peacekeeping obligations.
While this is a great start, the President's budget request really is just that — a request. As Congress begins its own FY’15 budget process, we need your help more than ever to ensure that America remains a strong partner to the UN. Schedule in-person meetings with your member of Congress during the President’s Day recess, now until March 17, and express your support for the President’s budget request.
To support your advocacy efforts, we've created a toolkit on how to organize an in-district meeting, plus some key issues to raise during your meetings, like UN peacekeeping funding.
If you've scheduled an in-district meeting, let us know by emailing our Membership Team at firstname.lastname@example.org.
