Two Expats in Saudi Life (In and Out of the Compound)

Join Harry Mueller and Susan Brand for their presentation about life in Saudi Arabia. Harry and Susan spent ten years living in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, while both worked (petroleum geologist, kidney dialysis nurse) for ARAMCO, the Saudi Arabian National Oil Company. They traveled over large parts of the kingdom and met and worked with a broad spectrum of Saudis and individuals from over 50 countries.

In this presentation, they will speak about their experiences living in the Arabian Peninsula, reminisce about the pros and cons as well as similarities and differences of living and working in Saudi Arabia, and detail some of the characteristics of expatriate life in a "compound" in the Saudi Desert.
