International Women’s Day has been observed since the early 1900’s, a time of great expansion and turbulence in the industrialized world that saw booming population growth and the rise of new political ideologies.

UNA-USA Chapters celebrated International Women’s Day by hosting events including: lectures; dinners; and film screenings in communities around the country. Event programming confronted important women’s issues such as: gender equality; women’s health; and human rights.
