Attend the Social Good Summit for FREE!

August 29, 2013

blog-sgsAs a valued UNA-USA member, you are invited to attend the Social Good Summit, September 22-24, for FREE—a $130 value. We are holding FREE spots for UNA-USA Members, so register today! Just sign up here, and add 'UNA' as your company name.

The Social Good Summit is an annual event held during UN Week that unites people from around the world around one common theme: the power of social media, innovation and technology to solve our world’s greatest issues. These elements will help build the global dialogue around the 2013 Social Good Summit’s #2030NOW theme which builds on the UN-led process to craft a post-2015 development agenda that will follow and accelerate progress on the Millennium Development Goals exploring how technology and new media are driving tangible innovation for a better world.

This year’s program is going to be better than ever featuring the inaugural class of “Keynote Listeners;” who will be listening to the summit in person and online and will report their findings and reflections in real time onstage at 92Y and the first-ever climate segment to be headlined by former Vice President Al Gore, Chairman of the Climate Reality Project.  Top speakers will include Jeremy Heimans, Purpose, Kandeh Yumkella, UNIDO, Anthony Lake, UNICEF, Rajesh Mirchandani, BBC, Dr. Jim Yong Kim, World Bank.

Register here if you are interested in attending and please put UNA into the field asking for publication and then click Other under the press coverage type.  If you are a journalist or blogger the event is free and you should enter the proper information into the before mentioned fields.

Also stay tuned for the Social Good Summit Student Fellowship program, applications will open towards the end of August.

Please contact Anastasia Dellaccio at adellaccio@unfoundation.org if you are interested in the fellowship or if you are interested in blogging, contributing content or reporting in different languages.
