Engaging America in the Millennium Development Goals

Speaker Bios:

Sarah Farnsworth

Ms. Farnsworth is currently the interim coordinator for the United Nations Millennium Campaign- North America, is focused on two priorities for the campaign 1) garnering support throughout Canada and the United States for the world wide September 17-19, 2010 STAND UP TAKE ACTION MAKE NOISE event and 2) working with partners to prepare and disseminate recommendations to the governments of the US and Canada for their yet to be releases National Action Plans to achieve the Millennium Development Goals by 2015.

Sarah was previously the Senior Manager for Government Relations for InterAction. She has served as a Senior Advisor for the Washington Director of Inclusive Security Initiative; a trainer for USAID staff on post conflict assessments and program development and spent seven and a half years with the US Agency for International Development working on the Balkans. She has lived and worked overseas and prior to her development career, worked on presidential campaigns and issue advocacy campaigns here in the United States. She has a Bachelors degree from Tufts University.
