OTHER WAYS TO
EXPLORE UNA-USA.ORG:

UNA-USA 2015 Education Programs Initiative
UNA-USA has rich history of hosting Model UN conferences in various cities throughout the world. To leverage this history, UNA-USA has developed the mini-simulation as an in-class resource that scales the best of Model UN into an activity that can be done in a 60 minute timeframe.

UNA-USA has reserved funding ranging from $250 to $5000 to support chapters with local implementation of educational activities and events that teach about the UN and raise awareness about the significant work of the United Nations Association of the United States of America. We invite your chapter to submit a proposal of no more than three pages which describes your educational program in the context of one of the five priority areas:

  1. Host Model UN conferences (serving 600 or more attendees);
  2. Host a small MUN event using a mini-sim (30-100 attendees);
  3. Provide the transportation cost for one college student to staff the Global Classrooms International Model UN Conference in New York City, May14-16, 2015;
  4. Commission a mini-sim curriculum writer;
  5. Host a mini-sim demonstration and dissemination.
This process provides opportunities to engage the vast network of UNA-USA’s in our strategic effort to bring the mini-sim into more classrooms across the United States of America while recognizing that chapters still host large scale Model UN conferences.

Applications must be submitted by October 8, 2014. Download the request for proposal here .
