Global Classrooms: Minneapolis-St. PaulSt. Paul is the capital of Minnesota, a progressive and prosperous state that has been recognized time and again for the high quality of life it provides for its citizens. The state is consistently ranked among the country's healthiest places to live.
St. Paul may be best known for its snow-covered trees and brisk winter winds, but there is also a warm spirit of cooperation between academia and business, a zest for innovation, and an educated and productive workforce at the heart of Minnesota's capital city. Residents of St. Paul believe a strong education is the first step to a fulfilling life and have made Minnesota's educational system into a national model for success. 90 percent of all St. Paul residents over the age of 25 have a high school diploma and the state has the lowest high school dropout rate in the United States. In addition, Minnesota boasts 52 public and 61 private institutions of higher learning.
