Global Classrooms: Los AngelesThe United Nations Association of the United States of America's Global Classrooms: Los Angeles Program, in partnership with Los Angeles Educational Partnership and in collaboration with LAUSD Schools, is pleased to host the 2010 Global Classrooms: Los Angeles Model UN Conference on March 5, 2010. The conference will attract local students from the Southern California area. Student will discuss a variety of topics, such as Trafficking of Wild Animals, Protection of Orphans and Vulnerable Children, and the Situation in Afghanistan. The 2010 Global Classrooms: Los Angeles Model UN Conference is expected to be a great academic and international experience for all.

At the Model UN conference, student participants discuss a variety of current global issues and produce resolutions aimed at eradicating problems facing millions of people throughout the world. Quick Facts about the Global Classrooms Program - Established in 2003;
- Los Angeles Unified School District has worked with UNA-USA to implement the program locally;
- Serving 25 schools in the Los Angeles UNified School District;
- University students from University of California - Los Angeles, University of Southern California, University of California - Irvine, and University of California - Berkeley have volunteered annually to serve as members of the Model UN conference staff.
