Global Classrooms: London

About Global Classrooms: London

As participants in other Merrill Lynch education initiatives, the Mulberry School for Girls was a natural partner in the effort to launch the London program; in close concert with the local Merrill Lynch office, Mulberry helped roll out Global Classrooms to area schools. Throughout the year, Merrill Lynch hosts teacher training sessions at their offices. Merrill Lynch participates in addressing both teachers and students on topics familiar to them such as poverty alleviation, microfinancing, and corporate social responsibility. Students from the London School of Economics help staff the conference and provide added support to students.

Looking for ways to broaden their experience beyond the UK, students from the Mulberry School traveled to India for the Delhi Public Schools Model UN conference where they participated along side other exchange students from Kuwait and The United Arab Emirates. For the first time this July, the London conference will be held at the United Nations International Maritime Organization's headquarters. For the fourth time, London will be bringing a delegation of students to New York for the UNAUSAMUN conference at UN Headquarters.

The United Nations Association of the USA is proud to continue Global Classrooms: London, a global education program that addresses the curricular, extracurricular and professional development needs of London students and teachers.
