  • Register for the 2009 Global Classrooms: Chicago Model UN Conference!
  • During this time, students should be researching and preparing for the conference. Visit our online MUN Preparation Guide.

  • Assign countries and committees to students.
  • Students should research their country, the issue to be debated, the UN system and the committee they have been assigned.
  • Position papers should be drafted by each delegation.
  • Procedure for writing resolutions and samples of resolutions
  • Flow of Debate
  • Points and Motions
  • Rules of Procedure

 

 

  • The non-refundable school fee is required for all schools to be considered registered for the Global Classrooms: Chicago Model UN Conference. This fee is due Nov. 30th
  • Country Assignments Released and Invoices Sent Out

  • During this time, students should be researching and preparing for the conference.

April 13th


 

  • Position Papers, Delegation Confirmation Forms, and Video & Photography Release Forms Due (see below)
  • All position papers should have been submitted by this date. Review our position paper submission page.

    Collect a signed Video and Photography Release Form from each of your delegates.

    Advisors should also use this time to review Global Classrooms Model UN Conference policies and procedures with your students.

  • Review the Conference Code of Conduct.
    Please note: Any iPods, cell phones, magazines or items of this nature seen in committee will be confiscated by committee staff, and only returned to delegates at the end of the conference.
  • Review the Conference Dress Code.
  • Review the Guidelines for Performance.
  • Review the Conference Schedule.
  • All School, Delegate, and Extra Advisor fees due
