The Global Classrooms curriculum is adapted to meet the academic needs of each of Chicago's 25 participating schools. Currently, 33 teachers use the Global Classrooms curriculum in 36 different classes. In all, over 600 students participate in the Global Classrooms program in Chicago with more than 500 attending the conference.
Since its creation in 2002, Global Classrooms: Chicago has become a strong presence in Chicago Public Schools. A solid group of veteran teachers have encouraged new teachers and schools to adopt the program.
In addition to offering the curriculum to many Chicago schools, the Global Classrooms team also provides in-class support and professional development training to teachers that participate in the program.
