UNA-NCA Middle School Model UN ConferenceSaturday, October 13, 2012 Location: Washington, DC Attend the first annual Global Classrooms DC Middle School Model UN Conference! Aiming to engage students in topics both relevant and meaningful to their age group, the middle school UNICEF conference will offer committees on the topics of Child Soldiers, Child Marriage, and Access to Education. The keynote speaker will be Carol Bellamy, former UNICEF director, now Chair of the Global Education Partnership housed within The World Bank. She will be sharing her knowledge about the role of UNICEF and the situation of children around the world. There is a small fee of $25 per student, which includes the all-day event and lunch. We are pleased to offer a special discounted fee of $15 per student for DCPS students. We truly hope you and your students will join us for a day of dicussion and diplomacy!
