Come and learn about the leadership role of the United Nations in drafting and implementing the Law of the Sea Treaty, an international agreement which promotes world-wide cooperation over the use of the oceans and seas. Oceans cover 2/3 of the world's surface and the uses associated with the great expanse grow more complex every year.
The United States has been an integral part of the development of the treaty and has signed it, but has not taken the next and most important step of ratification. We will present and discuss the pro arguments of our country's accession to the treaty.
