International Human Rights Day Celebration in PasadenaPasadena/Foothills ChapterSunday, December 9, 2012 Location: Pasadena, Cali. In celebration of the 64th Anniversary of the creation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Pasadena Mayor Bill Bogaard and the United Nations Association Pasadena/Foothills Chapter are hosting a Human Rights Day Celebration at the Pasadena Cenral Library on Sunday, December 9th, 2012, 3:00-4:30 pm. In respect of the United Nations' declaration of 2013 as the Year of Water Cooperation, our keynote speaker will be Gil Garcetti, the photographer, activist, and former District Attorney. Gil Garcetti will share photographs and interviews chronicled in his book "Water is Key." Mr. Garcetti's personal quest is to bring attention to the issue of safe drinking water through the Wells Bring Hope Project.
