United Nations Day Dinner

Location: State College, Penn.

The Centre County United Nations Association and its Counci of Organizations invite you to join them as their key note speaker, a career United Nations official, addresses the UN’s role in empowering women in countries around the world in areas such as health, security and education and how such efforts are affected by politics, culture, war, conflict and historical circumstances.

During the evening, they will welcome guests from 30 nations, enjoy the Turkish music of Anatolian Fusion and acknowledge support received by the Centre County Community Foundation’s to purchase books for Bald Eagle, Bellefonte, Penns Valley, Philipsburg and State College schools to further the Centre County UNA’s 2011 initia-tive on “Water Scarcity and Lack of Safe Drinking Water.”
