UN Day Luncheon in Oklahoma CityOklahoma City ChapterSaturday, October 20, 2012 Location: Oklahoma City, OK Help the Oklahoma City Chapter observe the 67th birthday of the United Nations. You are invited to enjoy good food and interesting company. Reserve your ticket now for only $20 each. Oklahoma City's luncheon program this year is designed to highlight the many different ways the United Nations is responding to the grave crisis in Syria. We have assembled a panel of speakers who will show how this crisis intersects with the lives of Oklahomans. Now, you can reserve your seats online. The luncheon will be convening at The Center, 4325 NW 50th Street in Oklahoma City. The Center is located near NW 50th & Vermont (just a block or two east of Meridian). The Center offers a pleasing environment with good food and service. Panelists will include: Mohamed Daadaoui, PhD – Panel Moderator. Professor of Political Science at Oklahoma City University, a specialist on the Middle East and North Africa. Matt Kane, JD -- Mr. Kane has taught courses on war crime tribunals, legal aspects of terrorism and federal criminal law at OCU. He interned at the International Criminal Court for Rwanda and continues to work on recovery efforts from mass atrocities in Uganda as well as increased engagement with the ICC by the United States. Daniel Snell, PhD -- Professor of History at OU, Dr. Snell is the author of nine books, including his recent, Religion of the Ancient Middle East. Amer Al-Khoudari, M.D. -- President of the Oklahoma Chapter of the Syrian American Medical Society, Dr.Al-Khoudari is a graduate of Damascus University in Syria. (Not pictured).
