Human Rights Day: Public Reading of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights

Iowa Chapter

Local non-profits, student organizations, and community members will gather for a public reading of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR).  The UDHR is the most translated document in written history, and was adopted by the U.N. assembly in 1948 as a direct response to the horrors of World War II.   

When:  December 10, Noon   

Where:  Iowa City Public Library Event Room A, 123 N. Linn Street, Iowa City

Attendees will receive a free pocket size copy of the UDHR courtesy of Iowa UNA.  If you would like your non-profit or student group represented at this program, please email emilyharmon@unaiowa.org.
