About the Conference

DanMUN offers an intensive experience of a week long lectures,social events and UNSC simulation. During the conference there will be speeches, debates and/or lectures by experts with different points of view, perspective and perception. They will contribute with their knowledge in their area of expertise to assist you in becoming a better and more knowledgeable diplomat at the conference. The week should leave our participants with a thorough knowledge on our chosen topic, a concrete understanding of how the Security Council works, an experience of diplomacy in practice and of course an expanded international network, m aybe even new friendships.

Committees

DanMUN is unique in its approach to the simulation, because it focuses solely on the UNSC. Therefore there will be only 15 delegations of 2 to 3 delegates and some members of the press. The program of the conference runs for 6 intensive days as the conference attempts to simulate the demanding daily life of a real diplomat. The first day serves as a formal introduction to the conference and to the UNSC and is ended with social and icebreaking games. The second and the third day typically consist of lectures, organized visits to relevant places (parliament, embassies, etc.) and evening panel debates. The last three days are reserved for the UNSC simulation itself. Delegates react to the scenario and they either sit in the session or engage in exciting backdoor diplomacy and intense negotiations. The program of the conference is ended by the Annual DanMUN awards and a glamourous gala.
