BonaMUNFriday, April 12, 2013 Location: Bonaventura College, Leiden, Holland Date(s): 12-14 April Size: 100-300 Registration Deadline: 28 February 2013 Conference (or School) Fees: $0 Delegate (or Individual) Fees: $35
Since its foundation in 2001 BonaMUN has become an annual conference, which creates an atmosphere that is suitable for both experienced as well as inexperienced delegates. It is a chance for them to meet other students from around the world, improve their formal English, practise diplomacy and to become acquainted with our school and the old University Town of Leiden (foreign schools can, of course, come earlier to see more of the city and The Netherlands if they wish so. We would be happy to assist in organising excursions and accommodation). Above all, BonaMUN is one of the best ways to become familiar with international politics as taken place within th e United Nations. The students will represent either one of the Member States or a Non-Member Delegation (for example UNICEF) and will defend its policy. Through constructive debate, during which they will be confronted with the formal language and diplomatic rules of conduct of the UN, they will strive for a consensus with the other delegates and create substantial and constructive resolutions that contain solutions to today’s world issues. |
