Using Force for Peace: Celebrating UN Peacekeepers and their work

Greater Lansing Chapter

Sunday, September 21, 2014
UN peacekeeping is deeply in the interest of the U.S. in defusing foreign conflicts and avoiding sending U.S. troops abroad. While a RAND study found seven out of eight UN peacekeeping operations were successful while only four of eight U.S. operations were judged successful. UN operations are far more cost-effective as well. Why then is the U.S. $200 million in arrears in paying our dues pledged for UN peacekeeping? Join our Greater Lansing Chapter for an informative and interesting program to learn about UN peacekeeping and what YOU can do to help.
