UN Disability Treaty Hearing

We need your help rallying support to get this treaty ratified!

Thursday, November 21, 2013
The Senate Foreign Relations Committee will be holding its second meeting on the United Nations Disability Treaty this Thursday November 21st. The UN Disability Treaty is an international treaty that provides a framework for countries to embrace the rights and dignity of the more than one billion disabled individuals around the world.

Thursday’s hearing will help determine whether or not the UN Disability Treaty gets the chance to be ratified by the full Senate, or if it’s going to be stopped in its tracks — again; despite bipartisan support, the Senate failed to ratify it by only 5 votes last December.

Send a message to your Senators today, asking them to support rights for people with disabilities worldwide by ratifying the UN Disability Treaty.

If you happen to be in the Washington D.C. area this Thursday Nov. 21st, we urge you to attend the hearing in person.

When: Thursday November 21st
               From 9:30 AM

Where: 444 Dirksen Senate Office Building
                SD-G50, Washington, D.C., 20510
