Originally created in 1999, UNA-USA is proud to launch a more action-oriented member-focused Student Alliance program to meet the needs of today’s globally minded students. Student Alliance serves as the umbrella program for all student participation in UNA’s educational programs and humanitarian campaigns such as Global Classrooms, Adopt-A-Minefield and HERO.

With the spirit of change in the air, Student Alliance seeks to engage students in a nationwide network of motivated individuals, student advocacy groups, international affairs clubs, and Model UN teams who stand poised to collectively sound their voices and make their opinions heard amongst their peers, in their communities, across the nation and around the world! President Obama and his top officials have pledged to strengthen America’s global leadership through a renewed emphasis on international cooperation, diplomacy, and active participation at the United Nations, and now is your time to get involved!

Act Locally

Tens of thousands of students of all ages participate in UNA-USA’s educational programs and humanitarian campaigns and have opportunities to coordinate programs in their local community and network with UN dignitaries and government representatives through UNA-USA's programs, including Day on Capitol Hill, Members Day at the UN, the Council of Chapters and Divisions Annual Meeting, and the National Convention.

UNA-USA consistently examines new global challenges with a determined sense of hope and opportunity. Student Alliance is a forum through which students take part in this examination and are presented with the opportunity to act as informed global citizens.

The new Student Alliance program now offers specific challenges which include raising awareness, educating, advocating, and fundraising! All students will also soon be able to create personal profile pages to keep track of their activities and share experiences and news with friends!
