STUDENT ALLIANCE

The UNA-USA Student Alliance seeks to engage students by creating a nationwide network of motivated individuals, student advocacy groups, international affairs clubs, and Model UN teams who stand poised to collectively sound their voices and make their opinions heard amongst their peers, in their communities and across the nation.
Students of all ages participate in UNA-USA ‘s educational programs and humanitarian campaigns and the Student Alliance program is expanding to launch a dedicated interactive website focused on engaging students in the first quarter of 2008. The website will guide students through all that UNA-USA has to offer and will provide opportunities for direct participation in our Global Classrooms, Adopt-A-Minefield and HERO programs and campaigns. We will offer specific quarterly participation challenges which will include raising awareness, educating and advocating, and fundraising initiatives. Participation in these challenges and throughout the year in activities such as building a personal philanthropic home page, sharing news with your friends, and participating in local UNA-USA chapter activities will allow each member to earn points that can be redeemed for a variety of UNA-USA items once during the year.
Student Alliance participants also have opportunities to coordinate programs in their local community, network with UN dignitaries through UNA-USA's programs, including UNA-USA's Members Day at the UN, the National Forum on the United Nations, and even participate in UN meetings. Tens of thousands of students are working with UNA-USA on a wide range of activities to promote the work of the United Nations, and we hope you will join us through our new Student Alliance in 2008.
